The Oris Divers Sixty-Five Cotton Candy, Now In Stainless Steel

A perfect size, a touch of fun, and splashes of colour.

| By Denis Peshkov | 2 min read |

When Oris released a Divers Sixty-Five series with surprisingly bright-coloured dials a couple of years ago, it hit the right note, and the pink, light blue and green bronze models became successful and are still very much in trend. A year later, in 2022, the watchmaker from Hölstein added equally bright-coloured Perlon straps to the assortment (first Cotton Candy Divers were offered on a multi-piece bronze metal bracelet or a leather strap), and it was only a question of time before we would see a stainless-steel version. Bronze and its patina have a great fan base, sure, but steel still rules, and we welcome the new stainless steel Divers Sixty-Five Cotton Candy references by Oris, just in time for summer.

Inspired by the iconic Oris dive watch of the 1960s, the Oris Divers Sixty-Five collection combines vintage dive watch aesthetics with a modern touch. Until the Cotton Candy series, this collection evoked a sense of nostalgia and adventure. Fun, too, but never so sweet. While the Divers Sixty-Five has traditionally been offered in a 40mm case size, the introduction of the Cotton Candy watches in 38mm has been widely praised for perfectly capturing the style and feel of a vintage timepiece. The latest edition of the Divers Sixty-Five maintains these unisex dimensions, appealing to a wide range of watch enthusiasts. What truly sets this part of the collection apart are the vibrant dial colours, designed to bring a smile to your face and add a playful touch to your wrist.

The stainless steel references offer three captivating options: blue, green, and pink, all in soft, pastel shades. Oris’s designers have created a timepiece that exudes a summery vibe, evoking feelings of relaxation, leisure, and the best kind of dolce farniente. The dial layout of these watches will be familiar to those acquainted with other variants of the Divers Sixty-Five.

Circular and rectangular hour markers, a date window at 6 o’clock, and a simple and legible handset adorn the dials. The hands and markers are filled with lume, ensuring visibility in low-light conditions. By keeping the dial text and minute track in white across all three watches, the focus remains on the striking colour choices.

Powering the Divers Sixty-Five Cotton Candy watches is the Oris 733 calibre, a modified version of the reliable Sellita SW 200-1 automatic movement with 41 hours of power reserve. The new stainless steel case watches come on either a three-link stainless steel metal bracelet or one of three recycled Perlon straps in blue, green or pink to match the dials. The metal bracelet version costs EUR 2,350; you’ll pay EUR 2,150 for one on the Perlon strap.
